Black Dog Tennis - what we do...

Black Dog Tennis professionally organises tennis events throughout South Wales and South West England.

We cater for all age groups and abilities from Mini Red to adults.

Black Dog Tennis is managed by myself, Paul Pritchard. I am an LTA accredited referee with over 20 years experience working for Tennis Wales as the National Tournament Co-ordinator.

I have organised literally hundreds of competitions for players from Mini Red up to Senior Challenger events with players ranked inside the top 100 in the world.

My particular passion is being able to introduce young players who have very little experience of competition before and giving them an enjoyable experience so they gain the confidence needed to compete and achieve their potential.

Tennis is essentially an individual sport so it can be quite daunting to stand on a tennis court in a competitive match for the first time. Competitive tennis will give young players essential life skills including confidence, the ability to make new friends and that wonderful sense of achievement when they eventually win a match.

Tournament Advice

To parents who are new to competitive tennis, I am able to advise on the best tournament pathway for your child, no matter what their playing standard. Through my experience of organising tournaments for 17 years and my own son competing from the age of 7 years old at national and international level, I have a complete knowledge of junior events at all ages and abilities. For a fee, I can devise a full competitive programme tailor-made for your young player. If you want advice, email me via the Contact section on this website.
